Year of birth uncertain, but from Tibenham, Norfolk. Matriculated at Clare College, 1672/3. Graduated BA 1676/7; MA 1680 (Incorporated at Oxford in 1681). Fellow of Clare, 1680-. Ordained deacon in London on 25 April 1683, then priest in Buckden, Huntingdonshire on 3 June 1683. Possibly rector of East Guldeford, Sussex, 1677-1694 (CCEd and AO, though uncertain because of date of ordination). Granted DD 1690 (Com. Reg.). Canon of Windsor, 1690-1707. Chaplain-in-ordinary to William III, 1690-. Likely rector of East Woodhay, Hampshire, 1691-1707 (the linked sermons were preached at East Woodhay). Rector of East Shefford, Berkshire, 1694-1707. Died in April 1707 (two possible dates, 8 April (CCEd) or 24 April (ACAD)).
