Born 6 October 1563 to Thomas, of Stetchworth, Cambridgeshire. Matriculated from Christ's College, 1576. BA, 1580/1; MA 1584. Fellow of Trinity Hall, 1584. Lecturer at Ashby-de-la-Zouch in 1587, vicar there after ordination, 1593 to his death 4 March 1632. Silenced by his bishop in 1605 for nonconformity, restored in 1609. Imprisoned for three months in 1615 for refusing the 'ex officio' oath.
