Born ca. 1587 to Richard Harris, rector of Hardwick, Buckinghamshire. Entered Winchester College, 1599, aged 11. Matriculated from New College, Oxford in 1604; fellow, 1606-1622; BA, 1608; MA, 1612; junior proctor of the university, 1617; BD, 1619; DD, 1622; regius professor of Greek, 1619-1622. Rector of North Crawley, Buckinghamshire, 1621. Collated to prebend of Combe XII in Wells Cathedral in 1622, later exchanged for prebend of Whitchurch (resigned 1631). Canon of Winchester Cathedral, 1628. Warden of Winchester College, 1630. Rector of Meonstoke, Hampshire, 1631-1642. Died 11 August 1658.
