Born in early 1629. Graduated MA University of Edinburgh (1650); minister Canongate parish, Edinburgh 1655-1662; removed to Bolton, Haddingtonshire, 1662 and Wemyss, Fife in 1665. According to the ODNB, he preached extemporaneously, so only auditor's notes remain of his sermons.
