Mr. Kentish preached a Gunpowder Anniversary sermon in 1690. It is unclear who this Mr. Kentish is. CCEd lists a Thomas Kentish (Person ID: 8480) who became vicar of Haddenham in 1642. He may be the author of a publication listed in EEBO dating from 1661, but he would have been very old by the time this sermon was preached. SI lists numerous preachers named Kentish whose career dates match the associated sermon. Two possibilities are Thomas Kentish, evening lecturer at Crosby Hall, Bishopsgate, Westminster (SI 16186); or John Kentish, asst. Princes Street, Westminster (SI 16183). It is therefore difficult to identify this preacher with certainty without more information.
