Other note

According to the ODNB, Boothby resided in Tottenham, where he was a "prosperous merchant." He was related to Sir William Boothby. Ann Hughes identifies Boothby as a "Presbyterian activist" and the author of another ms. of sermon notes (Bodleian MS Eng C 2693). According to British History Online, he was an alderman of the city of London in 1652.
