Thomas Trafford, son of Henry Trafford, was admitted sizar at St. John's College, Cambridge in 1654 at the age of 16. He matriculated in 1654 and graduated B.A. in 1657/8, proceeding M.A. in 1661 and D.D. in 1679. He was ordained deacon and priest in 1660. He served as rector of Heswall, Cheshire from 1661-66 and was made rector of Pembridge, Herefordshire in 1667. He was installed as prebendary of Hereford Cathedral in 1676. Trafford died on 20 December 1685.
