Other note

Mainwaring is identified in a footnote in "The Diaries and Letters of Philip Henry" as "a native of Wrenbury, and member of the University of Cambridge, chaplain to Sir Henry Delves, afterwards rector of Baddeley and chaplain to Sr T. Mainwaring." He apparently took over the higher rectory at Malpas when Thomas Bridge was ejected. However, this description does not match anyone in other GEMMS biographical sources. AO (Foster) and SI list a George Mainwaring as rector of Malpas, but he is ejected from there in 1662.
