Other note

A "Mr. Daxton, of Brasen Nose, an Initiate in Theology" is mentioned several times in Philip Henry's Diaries (p. 153); however no first name is given. Likely the Edward Daxon listed in AO who graduated BA from Brasenose in 1663. He is the only person with this name whose career dates and location correspond with the associated sermons. He was ordained Deacon in 1663 and priest in 1665. He became Rector at Coddington from 1670 to 1711 (CCEd Person ID: 58746).
