Other note

Born c. 1646, died sometime in 1704. B.A. (1667/8), M.A. (1671), and D.D. (1691) from Clare College, Cambridge. Perhaps rector of St Peter le Poer, London from 1691 to 1704. The entry in AO (Foster) conflates him with Richard Leach (d. 1719), rector of Winceby and later Driby, Lincolnshire, but the two have separate entries in ACAD (Venn) and CCEd. He is presumably the "Leech" mentioned as the preacher of several sermons in Joseph Keble's sermon notes, MSS. Rawl. E. 209 and 211. He is called "Mr Leech" in 209 (dated 1679) and "Dr Leech" in 211 (dated 1706-1707). Richard Leach would have become D.D. in the interim. No other Leach/Leech mentioned in ODNB, AO (Foster), ACAD (Venn), or CCEd who was active during this time was D.D.
