Fl. 1696. Mitford is mentioned by Joseph Keble as the preacher of three sermons at Gray's Inn in MS. Rawl. E. 210. There are several preachers named Mitford/Metford who were active in this period mentioned in AO (Foster) and ACAD (Venn), and there is no indication in the manuscript which one this might be.
