Other note

Fl. 1706. Gafrand is mentioned by Joseph Keble in MS. Rawl. E. 211 as the preacher of two sermons at Gray's Inn. No one with this surname appears in ODNB, AO (Foster), ACAD (Venn), CCEd, or SI. The name is perhaps 'Garbrand'. AO and CCEd list a Thomas Garbrand, who graduated B.A. from Pembroke College, Oxford in 1704. He is the only person with this name whose career dates match the associated sermons.
