Studied at Merton College, Oxford, before becoming demy at Magdalen College, Oxford. B.A. (1650), M.A. (1652) from Magdalen, and fellow there (1650-1660).
Rector of St Peter, Northampton beginning in 1658.
Granted D.D. in 1676. Made prebendary of Worcester in 1660, then archdeacon of Norfolk in 1661.
