Born c. 1516 in Sens, France. Studied in Orléans in 1534 before moving to England in 1544 and studying at Cambridge. Rector of St Alphage, London, 1552-1554, and of St Martin Ludgate, London, in 1559. He was imprisoned for five years (1553-1558) for seditious preaching. Vicar of St Sepulchre-without-Newgate in 1560. (This is presumably what Venn means when referred to "Sepulchre's, [London]".) Prebendary of St Paul's from 1559 until his death in 1563.
