B.A. (1673/4) and M.A. (1677) from St Catharine's College, Cambridge. Incorporated at Oxford in 1677. Rector of Betteshanger, Kent from 1680 until his death in 1702-3. Also curate of Sutton-by-Dover for the same span. Uncle of Thomas Brett, who preached his funeral sermon on 21 April 1703.
