Other note
Robert Tounson preached a funeral sermon for Sir Thomas Sadleir in Standon, Hertfordshire, on 17 February 1606 (Inner Temple Library, Petyt MS. 531 E). There is a good chance that he is the Robert Tounson / Townson (1576-1621) who would become Dean of Westminster and subsequently Bishop of Salisbury in the 1620s. He appears to be the only preacher by this name in the GEMMS biographical sources who was active in this period. However, those sources do not contain any evidence tying him to Standon or Hertfordshire, so the identification remains uncertain.
