Other note

Probably the son of Gideon Jack of Braxfield. He graduated MA from Edinburgh on 16th April 1645 and ordained on 29th February 1650, gaining a post at Carluke. He joined the Protestors in 1651 and was deprived of his living in 1662. He moved to Lanark, taking the silver communion cups from his church with him. He died at Lanark in 1644 at the age of about 39. He married and had two daughters, although the name of his wife is unknown.
