Likely the dedicatee of sermons in the George Curwen Papers, Sermons 1700-1717, Vol. 2: MSS 45. Hancock graduated from Harvard in 1689 and was ordained the same year He taught at the Grammar School at Cambridge from 1691. He was appointed as preacher at Medford in 1692. He was invited to preach at Lexington in 1697 and remained pastor there until his death, for 55 years.
