Other note

The son of Elizabeth and Abraham Bohun, vicar of Foleshill, Warwickshire, he was baptized at Holy Trinity, Coventry 13 July 1639. He matriculated from New College, Oxford in 1658; thereafter Fellow of New College, BCL in 1665, and DCL in 1685. He was tutor to John Evelyn Jr. there and at Sayes Court between 1665 and 1671. Rector of West Kington, Wiltshire, 1674-1701, and then of Wotton from 1701 to his death,12 July 1716. He was unmarried and in his will bequested much of his estate and library to the Evelyn family.
