Other note
Entered Christ's College, Cambridge in 1592, earning his B.A. in 1595 and M.A. in 1598. Fellow there 1599-1604. Wentworth Hebrew lecturer, 1601-1604. Thereafter he appears to have been chaplain to William, Lord Russell of Thornhaugh. Early in his career, his Calvinist views brought him into conflict with prominent members of the Church of England. He preached in Watford, Hertfordshire by 1612 and at Reading in the same period. He was also chaplain to Edward Conway, 1st Viscount Conway. Taylor was lecturer and curate at St Mary Aldermanbury, London from 1625 until his death in 1632. He was granted a D.D. in 1628.
