Contents Note
Diary of the Rev. John Hopkins, incumbent of Drayton, Oxfordshire from 3 June 1700 to 31 January 1708/9. Contains some private devotion, but is almost entirely with his preaching activities and the liturgical year. Mentions texts, places, and occasionally brief comments on the sermon in brief daily entries. An excellent source for information on a preacher's daily life, frequency of preaching, and range of texts chosen.
Material Features
In excellent condition, beautifully bound with brown leather and gold tooling. Written in relatively clean hand.
