A volume of parliamentary speeches and poetry owned by Knightley Chetwode. His name, as well as the name "Jane Chetwode" (probably Knightley's sister), is recorded on f. i. The volume also includes notes on sermons by Obadiah Grew, written in another hand (ff. 25r-33v), recorded ca. 1651-1662.
Paper, ii + 44 leaves, 187 x 147mm. Small notebook bound in contemporary limp vellum. At various points, there are stubs of other pages from a previous binding.
This volume was formerly among the papers of Sylvester Douglas, Baron Glenbervie (d. 1823).
Presented on 5 December 1990 to the British Library by Winkworth and Pemberton, solicitors based in Oxford, through the British Records Association (Deposit 2378) and the National Library of Scotland.
