C.175.i.16. - Two funeral sermons preached in 1682 and 1684

This volume contains nine miscellaneous tracts and notes in manuscript and print: 1) "An Account of some Strange and Remarkable Predictions of yt Holy, Learned, & Excellent Bishop, James Vsher, late Ld. Primate of Ireland" (manuscript of eight leaves in mixed hand, copied entirely from Strange and Remarkable Prophesies and Predictions Of [...] James Usher (London, Printed for R. G., 1678)); 2) James I, Basilikon doron [London, 1603] (wanting the title page); 3) "Notiones selectae Ex introductione Gener: ad vniversa Log: Elimenta" (manuscript of 42 leaves in seventeenth-century italic hand); 4) "A Sermon Preached att ye Funerall of Ms Lee, att Threekingham, Aprill ye 4. Anno Dom, 1682" (manuscript of seven leaves, in a neat italic hand); 5) "A Sermon Preached att ye Funerall of our Deceased Friend, and Neighbour, Mr Longlands, att Walcott, By Mr Brocklesby, January the 30. 1684/5" (manuscript of six leaves, in the same hand as the previous sermon); 6) Robert Nixon, The Cheshire Prophesy with Historical and Political Remarks. The Second Edition with Amendments (London, [c. 1713]); 7) The Order of keeping a Court Leet, and Court Baron, &c. (London, 1605); 8) Joseph Stephens, The Last Sermon of Mr Joseph Stephens, &c. (London, 1699); and 9) George Buchanan, Baptistes, Sive Calvmnia, Tragoedia (London, 1577).

There is a contents list on the first flyleaf, written in an eighteenth-century hand and entitled ‘"A Catalogue of Tracts conteined in ye Vol". It omits the second sermon.
