Sermon notes of Peter Gunning, Bishop of Chichester. Also contains notes and patristic citations from 1 Corinthians 5 and 2 Corinthians 2:11-12. It is one of thirteen volumes of Gunning's theological notes.

Provenance

This manuscript, which was bound from loose papers by Rawlinson, was among the papers of Bishop Francis Turner of Ely and his brother Thomas Turner, President of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, acquired by Rawlinson in the 1740s.

Other Note

This volume, along with the others in the collection by Gunning, were originally identified as being by Thomas Turner (dean of Canterbury and the father of Francis Turner). However, the hand was later identified as Gunning's.
