Sermons are written in English. The manuscript is made up of many manuscripts written in about 1685-1706 by Daniel Price, dean of St. Asaph (1696-1706). The sermons were preached chiefly at Westmill and Aspeden, both in Hertfordshire, 1685-1706, and St. Asaph, 1697-1704.

There are a lot of insertions and corrections. Often the left hand page is left blank, but where significant additions have been made, these have been copied in there (fourfold) upside-down.
