Copies of five sermons by "Mr Lockier" (Nicholas Lockyer?) from his notes (although a contemporary hand notes that there are six), dated 1633, and five sermons by Henry Burton, preached in 1635-1636.

Material Features

Paper, iii + 94 leaves, 7 3/4 x 6 1/8 inches. Lockier's sermons are fair copies in a neat secretary hand with red ruled margins on four sides, very professionally produced.

Provenance

Identified in the back (f. 92v) as "Anne Gosse her book 1641", "dedicated" (i.e., given) to Thomas Lane by William Lane of London, salter, in 1645. Also belonged to "T. T." (i.e., Thomas Tanner).
