One of seven manuscripts containing miscellaneous collections by David Wilkins, Archdeacon of Suffolk, including some sermons and sermon notes, as well as epitaphs and some personal papers. Written in the early eighteenth century. The volume begins with a Cambridge University bidding prayer, in Latin, written during the reign of Queen Anne (f. 2).
Paper, ii + 141 leaves, 8 3/4 x 7 1/8 inches.
The first six manuscripts in this set of Wilkins' paper, and probably the seventh as well, were purchased from the bookseller Thomas Rodd, the younger, for £8 10s, probably unbound.
