Contents Note

Contains an analysis of a work on logic, written in Latin c. 1650-1660, followed by "A Briefe Exposition of the Creed" in the form of short sermons by an unidentified preacher. The sermons seem to have been written in 1705, based on the text on the cover which reads "Lent Anno Dom: 1704/5" and quotations from Histoire critique des dogmes by Pierre Jurieu (1704) in the text. Includes a list of texts used to explain the creed on ff. 2r-3r.

Material Features

Paper, 154 pages, 7 3/8 x 6 1/4 inches. The foliation is unusual and inconsistent. While the Latin text is written going forward, the sermons proceed from the back with the manuscript upside-down, with the foliation beginning at f. 1r (rectos only). Beginning at f. 59, both rectos and versos are counted, though the sermons only use the rectos.
