Much of the volume consists of Dr. Hinton's Catechism on the Ten Commandments, Creed, and Lord's Prayer. This is drawn into questions and answers by Mr. Thomas Draxe, 1600, all written in an italic hand. At the end of this text, the scribe has written the following: 'Finis exercitii Septembris 19. 1602 and of this wholle catachisme. per me Richardum Willes scrib: Amen' (f. 137r). The rest of the manuscript volume comprises five sermons, written in an anonymous secretary hand.
