The volume contains 25 sermons by John Hoppin on three different texts preached between 1693 and 1701.

Material Features

The binding of this volume is leather, with blind tooling, and on the spine, a paper label with the ink inscription "HOPPIN'S SERMONS." The front board has become detached from the manuscript. The sermons themselves are written in a neat, elegant, easily-read hand, uniform throughout. Pagination is contemporary with the manuscript.

The volume has an inscription on the flyleaf to Rev. W. Chapman from Joseph Bangham of Torrington (June 25, 1876) "with pleasant remembrances of his visit to Torrington."
