The First Sermon was Preached on the following subject upon 30 Oct[obe]r 1709." At the end of the volume is written: "Note the subject foregoing this Book was that large sublime subject of the covenant, which subject was begun the 26 day of January 1706/7 from 42 Isaiah 6. And was finished upon the 23 day of October 1709. Now the subject this Book treats of was begun upon the 30 day of October 1709. And was finished the 13 of January 1711/12."
