The manuscript consists primarily of extracts from sermons entitled "Remarkable sentences of several worthy ministers as they were delivered by them in their preaching." Interspersed are extracts copied from works by Thomas Adams, William Gurnall, Robert Bragge, John Flavell, J. C., and Charles Owen. Extracts from sermons are identified by the preacher's name and only very occasionally a biblical text. Passages of special note are indicated by marginal marks, including manicules, asterisks, and quotation marks.
The manuscript comprises folio leaves paginated on both recto and verso (1-142). The rest of the manuscript comprises unpaginated, blank folios. Each page is ruled and extracts are separated by clear lines. The handwriting is very clear and there are no corrections. The extracts from sermons preached appear to be fair copies.

The DWL has a full description of the passages transcribed from printed sources, all of them apparently treatises and discourses.
