This volume written in a single neat hand contains papers on questions of polemical and practical divinity associated with James Fraser, a Church of Scotland minister, never knighted despite the heading in the manuscript (d. 1699). At the end of the volume, after letters spanning 1710-1719, are "Heads & Notes of Sermons of Mr. Thomas Hog," a contemporary of Fraser's. It is unknown whether these are derived from Hog's own papers, or whether they were taken by Fraser.
