Copies of fifteen funeral sermons preached in Leeds by Reverend John Killingbeck for named men, women, and children, including several Alderman. Dates of preaching are given for most sermons, ranging from 1690 to 1698.

Material Features

Bound volume of 218 pages, written in one clear hand. Ruled margins and headers, giving page numbers and the subject of each sermon. Marginal annotations indicating the parts of the sermon and a few corrections. 7 folios blank at the back.

Acquisition

Presented by John Killingbeck in 1897, presumably a descendant.
