Contents Note

Auditor's notes on twenty-five sermons. There are accounts from 1649 on ff. 1r-9v. Ff. 160r-162v are blank and ff. 163-168 have further accounts written in reverse.

Material Features

An octavo leather-bound volume embossed with in gold with the initials IL. A metal clasp with a star by it. Shorthand used extensively throughout. Paper slip pasted inside the front cover stating, “Notebook containing accounts and notes of sermons preached by the Redvs. Doctor Hooke, Roote, Fairbank, Paul Greenwood, etc. written by John and Samuel Lister of Upper Brea, 1662-1663”.
