Contents Note

Sermons and theological notes by Paul Brennan, mainly written in Latin. The volume contains a Latin title: "Conciones fratris Pauli Brennan ad maiorem dei gloriam." (f. 1r).

Material Features

The binding (eighteenth-century speckled calf) is fragile, especially the front board. The handwriting is in several different styles, but it is generally very messy and difficult to read. Since headings are not always accompanied by Bible texts, it is often difficult to tell where one sermon ends and another begins. The text goes forward from f. 1r to f. 170r, and backward from 238v to f. 169r.
