Contents Note

Extensive auditor's notes on 43 sermons, preached between July 1680 and December 1681. The sermons from pp. 106-271 are repetition sermons. The first page gives an index to the sermons, although in some places there are errors in this index.

Material Features

1 volume, with c. 388 pages. Bound in brown leather, with the spine reinforced in the 19th century. There is an inscription on the inside back cover: "Sarah Henry Her book Jul. 3 1680". On the inside front cover there is a presentation inscription: "From John Higginbottom to his dear Grand-daughter Florence Higginbottom. 'Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing you in psalms and humns and in spiritual songs, singing with grace in your head to the Lord' Col III v 16 Wokingham. October 1st 1862".
