Contents Note

Small hand-sewn book belonging to Samuel Phillips (1690-1771), containing notes of sermons compiled when he was studying at Harvard. The first flyleaf is a title page: 'Samuel Phillips Hunc Librum vendicat October 6th Anno Domini 1705', signed 'S P'. On the verso of this flyleaf, there are several scribbles, including 'Tho. Abbott not his book'.

Acquisition

Given to the Harvard College Library by Phillips Bradley of Salem on 6 January 1927.
