This octavo manuscript contains several miscellaneous theological treatises. Contents include, inter alia: John Chilton, 'Deus et Rex. Sive Dialogus' (autograph, dated 10 August 1676); remarks upon church discipline; anonymous directions to a divine (c. 1640s); an anonymous sermon preached on St James' Day in 1637; and miscellaneous prayers and notes in the hand of Isaac Basire. Languages: Latin and English.
The Hunter Manuscripts were purchased by the Dean and Chapter of Durham in 1756 for forty guineas.
