Contents Note

A volume containing the following: 'Meditations vpon St Stephens Martyrdome Acts 7th' by John Arrowsmith (1602-1659), dated 1649; a note of a sermon preached by 'Mr Coale fellow of Peterhouse' on 7 January 1648; several sermons preached at Cambridge by Mr Hammond in the 1640s; and a series of botanical notes (written partly in reverse).

Provenance

'R. I.' is stamped (upside down) on both the front and the back covers of the volume.

Acquisition

The Hunter Manuscripts were purchased by the Dean and Chapter of Durham in 1756 for forty guineas.
