23 sermons on Jacob's Testament in the hand of the author. Front page notes that the sermons were 'preached by M Zacharie Boyd preachre of Gods word at Glasgowe.'

Material Features

Large volumes of parchment bound in leather. Delicate/broken spine and worn parchment but in largely good condition with very little writing obscured by damage (some staining and frayed edges in places). Page numbers appear to be original to the MS, 968 pages in total. Folio numbers are also included (later addition), 481 leaves.

Part of a large volume of works that Boyd bequeathed to the University upon his death in 1653. Have been cared for by the university from this date.
