Eight sermons on Nebuchadnezzar in the hand of the author. Front page notes that the sermons were preached 'by M Zacharie Boyd minister of Gods word at Glasgowe.' These eight connected sermons are followed by a further forty sermons on a variety of themes. The majority of pp.939-989 appear to be written in a different hand, although the sermon titles are still in Boyd's usual hand (further examination would be needed to confirm this).
Large volumes of parchment bound in leather. Delicate/broken spine and worn parchment but in largely good condition with very little writing obscured by damage. Page numbers appear to be original to the MS, 1563 pages.
Part of a large volume of works that Boyd bequeathed to the University upon his death in 1653. Have been cared for by the university from this date.
