Description

Preached at the funeral of Jacob Shard. This sermon is written in a neat, early-eighteenth-century hand. It was heard and memorized by William Titcomb, who had it transcribed and dedicated to the subject's grieving father. The title page is bordered in thick black ink and occupies f. 1r.

Other Note

The auditor, William Titcomb, said that he had it penned in the very words he remembered, and took pains not to introduce anything where his memory failed. Precise date and location unknown.
