The cataloguer may have misidentified either the preacher or the subject of the funeral sermon. The preacher is identified as Thomas Whincop of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge (1670-1713) and the subject is identified as Thomas Harrison, fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge (1555-1630), and these dates do not seem to align. One other preacher's dates and degree aligns with Harrison's funeral, but not with Corpus Christi College, Cambridge: Samuel Whincop (B. D. 1622; CCEd ID #58424). However, John Whincop (d. 1647) whose 1644 Fast sermon before Parliament was published in 1645 (and is in EEBO) is described as late fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, and rector of Clothall, Hertfordshire. He is almost certainly the preacher of Harrison's funeral sermon.
