The sermon is preceded by a passage in Francis Turner’s ordinary handwriting adapting the sermon to a year in which Trinity Sunday coincided with the Restoration day, i.e. 1681 (f. 57v). Turner has also made insertions throughout the sermon in dark ink.
Description
This sermon is adapted from one preached in 1674, when Ascension Day coincided with the anniversary of the Restoration. Written in a formal, clear had which may be that of either a copyist or the author.
