Description

The full title of this sermon is as follows: ‘The sixt sermon he is carried before herod & is sent back to pilat in a whit garment and whipped most cruelly as a pillar.’ A section entitled ‘A motive to follow Christ’, beginning on the fifth leaf (verso), appears before ‘The fruit’ of the sermon. Another section begins on the seventh leaf (verso); namely, ‘Christ himslefe moueth vs to follow him & to be gratfull vnto him’. ‘The fruit of the sixt sarmon’ begins on the eleventh leaf (verso). Written in a clear hand, slightly larger on some leaves than for the previous sermons. With catchwords on some leaves. Some use of Latin.
