Since the title closely resembles the one given in this manuscript, the source for this copy is most likely The Heads of Some Sermons Preached at Finnick, the 17 of August. 1662: By Mr William Guthry Upon Matth. 14: 24, 25, 26 (1680; reprinted in 1713). There were also two print editions of the entire sermon: 1) Two Sermons Preached by Mr. William Guthry, Minister of the Gospel at Finnik, the 17 Day of August, 1662 (Glasgow, 1680; reprinted in 1693); 2) Christ's Care of His People under Afflicting Dispensations (Glasgow, 1789). Another short text that could be related to this sermon is the following: Crumbs of Comfort: or, Grace in Its Various Degrees, and Yet Oneness in Kind, Mat. 14. 27 ([Scotland?], 1681).
