The third notebook of the collection contains this sermon. It begins as follows: ‘St. Matthew begin[n]es this Chapter with ye relation of a considerable miracle of Jesus’. The general occasion is specified as ‘Trinity Sunday’. It is conjectured by the Suffolk Record Office that the author of this sermon was Balthazar Gardemau.
