This sermon is likely to have been composed in 1639-40, being written in the same hand as the previous sermons in the manuscript volume. However, a note in a different hand describes the eighteenth-century preaching date (and list of auditors) indicated here, which means that the sermon may have been delivered again with alterations at these later dates.
