This MS has been catalogues as 'six sermons, preached in 1655'. However, it is only one sermon that provides preaching information and the date. The second page of MS states that 'this book treaties upon these ex[am]pl[e]s of scripture following. Revel. 3.14 to the end of the chap. rom. 7.9. rom. 7 24 25, Ephesians. 5.21 to the end, Ephesians 6.1 til 6 20, matt. 3 10'.
Leather bound volume with metal clasps (no longer intact). There are no page or folio numbers. c.189 leaves. The final 4 leaves of the MS are in reverse.
Part of a collection of papers of Robert Wodrow held by the University of Glasgow. The manuscript was acquired from Charles W Wodrow Thomson on 8th July 1891.

The name 'James Hamiltonne' is signed in various places but there is no confirmation of the owner. The final sermon states that it was given at 'Eglishame' in 1655, making it probable that the author is James Hamilton (c.1618 - 1684).
